Support Post-Secondary Workforce Readiness through the development of an individualized career and academic plan for each student

Students need a clear and specific road map outlining the secondary coursework, service opportunities, and learning mindsets necessary for post high school academic or career success.

Review and revise attendance intervention program to ensure chronically absent students are supported.

By spring of 2022, the high school BLT will revise scoring rubrics for Capstone projects and internship completion rubrics.
Refine and implement of elementary elective program.

Implement Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Workbased Experience for MVHS, DELTA and Online Academy students.

Program implementation and expansion are ongoing.
Provide training for all instructional staff in English Language Learners (ELL) research supported best practices.

Complete training of current staff by Spring of 2019.  Include trainings for new staff beginning fall 2019 and thereafter.
Integrate I-CAP [Individual Career and Academic Plan]  and develop plan for monitoring progress in grades 6-12. [Click here for program description.]

Revamp the current ICAP program to align it to be more relevant to an AEC. Projected completion August 2022.

​​Monte Vista School District’s four-year completion rates have been similar to the state’s completion rate over the past three years.  Our goal is to raise these rates by 3% in 2017-18 and 3% in 2018-19.
